Zinnia Topiary & Candle Cube

Permanent botanicals are available in so many great colors and textures! Cover foam cubes with bright fluffy zinnias in bold shades to add 'oomph' to your décor.

Materials

STYROFOAM Brand Foam
  • Cube, 5", four
Other Materials
  • Large zinnias: eight yellow; 32 purple; 32 cream

Tools

  • Floral shears
  • Ruler
  • Wooden skewers, 4", four
  • Low-temp glue gun and glue sticks
  • Thick, white craft glue

Instructions

  1. Trim zinnia stems to 2" long. Group flowers by color.
  2. Refer to photo as placement guide. Apply glue to stem ends and insert four purple zinnias into two opposite sides of one foam cube. Glue and insert four cream zinnias into two remaining sides and four yellow zinnias into top.
  3. Glue and firmly push taper candle into center of cube.
  4. Repeat Step 2 for remaining foam cubes, adding yellow zinnias to top of only one cube. Glue two skewers into center top of each remaining cube and apply glue to exposed foam. Push cubes onto skewers to create tower, alternating colors.
