Moss Candleholders

Trade in those too-formal crystal candlesticks for more natural appeal - moss-covered cones of STYROFOAM™ Brand foam look beautiful in today's eco-inspired rooms.

  • Cones, 12" x 4", two
Other Materials
  • Green sheet moss, two bags
  • Green flower-safe spray paint (optional)


  • Serrated knife
  • Candle stub or paraffin
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Spray adhesive (be sure it's labeled safe for STYROFOAM brand foam)
  • Low-temp glue gun and glue sticks
  • Thick, white craft glue
  • Taper candles, two


Note: Candleholders are for decorative use only.
  • 1. Wax serrated knife with candle stub or paraffin. Cut 1-1/2"from tip of each foam cone. Cut small hole into center of flattip, just large enough for base of taper candle. Twist candlesinto holders and remove.
  • 2. Spray foam cone with adhesive, working on small sections ata time; cover with moss, leaving cone base exposed. Let dry completely.
  • 3. If a brighter green is preferred, spray paint moss-coveredcones with two to three coats of paint; let dry.
